EXPERIENCE
CCDTelecomm Silver Spring, MD 09/05 - Present
Programmer Analyst, 8701 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910
Responsibilities:
Involved in the maintenance of existing applications, with various tasks including:
• Analyzing the client requirements, suggesting possible solutions to users, modifying websites to meet changing needs, testing and correcting unanticipated bugs.
• Migrating and manipulating data using SQL Server 2005 Integration Services, taking advantage of the new Microsoft Extract, Transformation and Load platform, in order to extract Legacy data, standardize, convert, conform and fix them before loading into relational databases or data warehouses.
• Maintaining applications using C #, VBScript, JavaScript, XML/XSLT, XML DOM, and VB.Net.
• Analyzing and reporting using the Business Intelligence Development Studio(BIDS)
Involved in analysis, design, implementation, coding, testing, debugging, deployment new applications :
• Preparing and conducting interviews in order to understand the needs and requirements
• Meeting with team members in order to develop application documentations, analyze the requirements, and design the best fit solutions.
• Developing the projects, preparing the specifications, modeling the objects, creating the business entities, and coding.
• Developing the user interfaces, the middle-tier components and the database objects.
VEGETTA is one example among many applications developed. It is a complete Secured, Client-Server, multi-layered solution, used to support the management of an international business that produces, distributes and follows up with researches on organic products and medical plants. This solution was developed to ease the supervision, with various references in many different production sites, in order to improve the research on standards, and to manage orders, invoices, delivery and payments. This project was mainly designed for many types of users who are Managers, researchers, farmers, suppliers, customers and web site administrators. The Web Services are consumed from both Windows Forms and ASP.NET web pages, using C#, the .Net Framework, ADO, ASP.NET, XML, SOAP, Web Services Enhancements (WSE), SQL Server and Oracle Databases in a distributed heterogeneous environment.
The Business tier and Data access tier components are secured and portable, designed to run on separate servers, and support Web services, with enough scalability to allow more than 100,000,000 users at same time. Web services are consumed by both web applications and windows applications. A robust SQL Server 2005 database is used to insure OLTP, T-SQL queries and the business intelligence.
Responsibilities:
• Conducted interviews, and documented the needs and requirements.
• Analyzed the requirements. Performed object modeling using UML.
• Designed and Implemented the N-Tier Model. Built the solution in the Visual Studio 2005 environment, adding references to the .Net Framework class libraries, custom type assemblies, the backend components, the web services and the database.
• Developed the Windows based user interface using the built-in namespaces and features such as: Microsoft Windows Forms templates, Toolbox Controls, validation with Regular Expressions, Delegates and events, Exception classes, binding and Multi-threading techniques.
• Developed the Web based user interface using ASP.NET 2.0 with Microsoft web page templates, Web Controls, Validation controls, Data Source controls, custom control, HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Master Pages, Themes and skins, Site Maps, View States, Session states, Load Balancing, and Membership controls in C#.
• Developed the business tier components and the data access components using ADO.NET 2.0 classes and techniques to manage Connections, Commands, Data Adapters, Data Readers, parameters and to cache data in Datasets, objects, typed Datasets, collections, XML files, both in connected and disconnected fashion.
• Gathered all information, analyzed documents and data used in order to construct the data dictionary and create the Database.
• Normalized all data, assigned data types and designed the database and storages, defining the tables, rows, columns and creating table relationships
• Created and configured the relational database, with all the tables, integrity constrains, and indexes using SQL Server 2005 and SQL Management Studio.
• Developed stored procedures, triggers, user defined functions, and views to support OLTP using T-SQL
• Developed data access layer for database connection, information retrieval and cache, utilizing ADO.NET.
• Created various reports using Crystal Reports.
• Created, consumed and deployed the back-end components as web services, then applied and customized the security on SOAP messages taking advantage of the powerful features of the WSE 3.0.
• Tested, debugged, configured, wrote the documentation, set the assembly information, and deployed the project in a distributed environment.
Environment:
Windows XP, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, ADO.NET, SQL Server 2000/2005, SQL Server 2005 Management Studio.
