I worked 30 years at a Integrated Steel Facility in NW Indiana. I served 2 apprenticeships, the first was a 3-1/2 year AC/DC motor control and theory. I completed the apprenticeship and promoted to Electrical Technician. I worked as a Electrical Maintnenace for 16 years

I then transfered to the Instrument Department and served a 1-1/2 year apprenticeship in Instrumentation. I took classes at Purdue University, many in house classes and On the job training. Pressure, Flow, Level and Temperature, PID control, single loop controllers and Distributive Control Systems (DCS). I worked as a Instrument Tech for 7 years, I then promoted to Engineer Technician which was supervising, scheduleing maintenance events, write procedures, creating calibration sheets maintain and review maintenance records, for the next 7 years and retired with 30 years service.
