Application Summary: Health Care System. The Department of Health Services (DHS) for the state of California supports and operates Californias Medicaid program (Medi-Cal). The U.S. government has mandated that all health care providers must adhere to the policies and procedures of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). As an addendum, policies were put in place that would allow Medi-Cal to handle electronic transactions, security safeguards and standards.

Project Summary: Requirements were developed to include certain data elements, standard code sets and unique health identifiers that would be incorporated into the Medi-Cal application.

Responsibility Summary: Responsible for analysis, programming, and development of modules that will allow electronic claims transactions and coding unique identifiers in key programs that will meet HIPAA standards. Project Summary: Because of the complexity and vastness of the project, a team was given the task to analyze, convert and implement enrollment and disenrollment of military personnel that had and active and non active status.

Responsibility Summary: Responsible for analysis, programming, and development of conversion of disenrollment application from legacy system to new health care system. Application Summary: Merchandising Systems. The merchandising systems data warehouse was developed to efficiently track invoicing, movement and reconciliation of company wide product and outside vendors. The application also provided warehouse and store management teams, an ability to develop drill down queries and daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting functionality.

Project Summary: Requirements were developed to extract, cleanse, transfer and load merchandising systems data in an on-line real time environment. CICS on-line processes were developed to capture merchandising applications data as it became available. Captured DB/2 table data was then reformatted as QSAM files and transferred to the UNIX platform using NDM TCP/IP as the file transfer protocol.

The transferred merchandising data was finally used to populate the UNIX platform data warehouse DB/2 tables.

Responsibility Summary: Senior developer responsible for analysis, specification development, new design and major enhancements to the merchandising systems data warehouse applications. Duties included programming and implementation of the mainframe to Unix CICS on-line extract and transfer and load of merchandising systems DB/2 tables.

maintenance of EFT accounts, making payments to EFT accounts and generating various

reports. Involved In all the modules.

Responsibility Summary: Successfully designed, developed, analyzed, tested and

implemented CICS On-line screens and batch modules. Involved in enhancements and

development of VSAM files and JCL for batch modules and nightly updates. Assisted

purchased from the vendor. IPS provided service for electricity, water and gas customers.

Kentucky Utilities provided only electricity to its customers so the gas and water modules

had to be stripped out of the system and the electricity modules were kept and modified

to fit the needs of the company.

Responsibility Summary: Designed, programmed, implemented, analyzed, developed and tested on-line screens and batch modules. Constructed JCL job streams and provided on-call support for nightly batch. Responsible for automated report distribution for company. Modified and maintained batch modules as system enhancements were needed.
