o Responsible for analyzing workers compensation data to evaluate reductions in claims frequency and severity associated with Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program.

(Funded by a research project by General Electric Energy to develop the methodology for cost estimation)

o Primarily involved in assisting GE Energy to develop methods to get cost estimates for preliminary designs of shells of the steam turbines with a team of professors at Ohio University.

o Demonstrated successful use of JAVA and custom built packages to draw geometry and get accurate cost estimates.

o Involved in extensive and skillful use of JAVA to model complex rotational and non-rotational features on the outer casing of a steam turbine.

o Implemented feature based modeling technique to get accurate cost estimates by calculating volume from the cut-section geometry and thereby getting weight based on the alloy used.

o Re-engineered the code so as to optimize memory used and help setup an efficient hierarchy of attributes.

o Evaluated whether CCPM (Critical Chain Project Management) was a more realistic methodology than the conventional project management for the company, which helps the complete the project ahead of schedule by reducing the cost overrun.

o Involved with the Supply management cell in the Wire division of Tata Steel Limited.

o Demonstrated successful use of Inventory Management techniques and cut down the inventory by 300,000 by using ABC classification. Also another 100,000 was saved by auctioning the maintenance spares to the prospective bidders.

o Developed a new model for vendor management with the sourcing department so as to give a structure to price negotiations and value added propositions.

o Conducted time study for various warehouse operations and helped optimize and improve warehouse operations by modifying existing processes.
