Working within a 10K clean room environment, prepared, tested, evaluated, inspected and documented results of Fiber Bragg Gratings. The daily set up, calibration and
maintaining of the test station. Interfaced with the technical writer to implement and edit written test procedures. Acquired special fiber handling and splicing skills and became
certified. Acquired knowledge of Lab View and other special software programs that were utilized. Tested, evaluated, and documented results of optical receivers, transmitters, splitters, combiners, multiplexer - demultiplexer modules and optical spectrum analyzer modules. • Increased production by 40% overall in Corvis Fiber Bragg Test and Measurement Department. Proposed an engineering modification for all Test and Measurement stations, to change the document printer from parallel port to USB port, which was implemented. This dramatically increased the printer speed and eliminated error.
• Decreased the cost of document paper by 45% in Corvis Fiber Bragg Test and Measurement. Proposed a change from fiberless to coated document paper which was implemented. This decreased the cost from $.85 to $.40 a sheet.
