1. Contract Engineer/Project Engineer Aug 2008 To Dec 2010

Projects: A. Water Pollution Control Centre (WPCC) Expansion to 76 MLD– Cost $ 100 mil

B. Bio Solids Expansion Facility (BSF) Expansion - Cost $ 20 mil

Job Description:

• Conducted daily site visits to inspect the new construction and upgrading works of the plant to verify progress and to ensure that the work was in compliance with contract documents and drawings, City and related OPS specifications, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, MOE requirements and other statutes and regulations;

• Reviewed contractor’s claims, RFQ’s, change orders and progress payments, verified and interpreted requirements specified in contract documents and advised Senior Project Manager for recommended course of action;

• Monitored and controlled project schedule and budget/cost and implement remedial actions, provided recommendations on changes in scope - Prepared change orders and contingency logs including potential contingency estimates;

• Reviewed and tracked consultant’s progress reports, invoices, claims and provided recommendations for requests for additional fees to ensure value for service by keeping up-to-date records;

• Promptly responded to inquiries related to project from Plant staff, internal departments, consultants, residents and other government agencies;

• Attended coordination, progress, FAT & SAT meetings and recorded items for action;

A. Initially worked in structural design section of the Department for 1 years. Designed ADA office building extension, Mirpurkhas and Saidu Sharif runways.

B. Civil Aviation Training Institute Hyderabad: A joint venture between United Nation Development Program & Govt. of Pakistan. Spread over 230 acres. The project included various buildings, e.g. Communication Building, Admin Block, Air Traffic Control Building and two way internal roads, sewer and water lines, underground water tank (one million gal), overhead tank (50 thousand gal) etc.

C. Runway at Mirpurkhas: The runway comprised 10,000 ft of flexible pavement with 600 ft rigid pavement and 600 ft overruns on both ends. The width of runway was 150ft excluding shoulders.
