Manufacturing Engineer, Black Hawk Program, C17 Program
As a manufacturing engineer, I progressively moved within the organization to manage complex manufacturing projects in support of operations product completion.
• Served as a SAP Subject Matter Expert as part of the company wide ERP system conversion by training over 100 Manufacturing Engineers and Planners in the basic functions of SAP as well as specific training on necessary system transactions
• Applied engineering specifications, drawings, and process improvements to aid in the manufacture of major aircraft assemblies for both the Black Hawk Helicopter and C17 Transport Aircraft programs.
• Developed/modified production planning and repaired tooling as needed to support the manufacturing shop in efficiently producing quality assemblies.
• Used engineering drawings and CATIA models to identify, analyze and submit engineering change requests to both internal (Vought Aircraft) and customer (Sikorsky Aircraft) design groups.
• Worked with manufacturing and production control personnel in maintaining Bills of Material and matrerials planning to ensure shop assembly requirements were met.
• Coordinated with manfucturing and quality personnel in the development of robust Corrective Actions to address product defects in a timely manner.
