Roadmaster
• Supervised and coordinate activities of workers engaged in laying and repairing railroad tracks in accordance with general railroad safety principles and practices.
• Responsible for approving, monitoring and the supervision inspections of over 200 miles of class 1-5, in accordance with FRA 213 standards for the purpose of identifying track safety deficiencies.
• Responsible for conducting monthly Operating Test on over 21 employees monthly.
• Conducted over 30 Derailment investigations to determine the probable cause code.
• Conducted a formal presentation to the Division Manager to refute the cause code findings on a derailment, thus changing the findings from Track caused to Mechanical.
• Supervised the renewal of over 130 miles of tie installation, the installation of 14 #20 turnouts on the mainline.
• Enforce the standards as required to ensure all employees are following Federal & CSX applicable requirements ensuring that the proper protection is being used IE Lone Worker, On Track Safety. Operating rules.
• Monitored System Production teams in conjunction with (3) Annual Jamborees conducted on CSX Railroad. Jamborees consisted of Tie Teams, CAT Team, Curve Patch, Rail teams and welding teams. Ensured all work done was within the Standards.
• Responsible for Verifying the alignment of rails by measuring distances from rails to predetermined centerline.
• Supervised Track-Surfacing-Machine Operator and Track Layer (construction) in repair of railroad tracks.
• Went 3 years as a supervisor without any safety related incident or personnel injury to any employee.
• Supervised the removal of over 30 miles of Jointed track using a 16 man Cut & Slide team without any safety related issues or incidents.
