05/2011- Present Thesis: - Measurement of Residual Stresses in Ti64 and IN718 alloy by

Nanoindentation and Finite Element analysis in ABAQUS

• Thesis aims at measurement of residual stresses induced by Laser Shock Peening process

using Nanoindentation process.

• Using ABAQUS Explicit to model the exact experimental setup and aim at inducing residual stresses as per the LSP process.

• Advanced Strength of Materials, Finite Element Techniques I & II , Modeling and Simulation, Elasticity I & II and Bio-Mechanics & Bio-materials

• ¬Finite Element I& II project:- Developed a MATLAB code to solve Static Analysis problems for Q4 and Q8 elements. Further expanded the code for determining the vibration modes and its modal analysis.

• Modeling and Simulation project :- Developed subroutine in MATLAB for Tangent Stiffness model for material and developed user defined material model in FORTRAN to integrate with LS-DYNA.

• Involved in R&D activities and optimization techniques with India CAE team as well US team

• Pre-processing and post-processing of the bumper systems under stringent deadlines coupled with quick decision making and analytical reasoning.

• Pre-processing and post-processing with respect to FMVSS, IIHS and CMVSS safety regulations.

• Projects Undertaken:- Preprocessing and Post-processing of Crash Test like 3 point bend test, pole test, IIHS barrier test etc. for all the leading Automobile OEMs like Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Ford, GM, Chrysler etc.

• Responsible for making training manuals for new employees and explaining the method of specific pre-processing and post-processing methods.
