This web-based ordering system is a B2B solution that connects Westinghouse with all its 84 distributors who are the sole authority to sell and install distributors to make login and order a model of a particular specification out of 23 selections and provide shipping details for the delivery of the same. The purchase history module allowed the distributors to track the status of their order in the manufacturing phase. This system replaced the Telephone/FAX system of ordering which was used previously and allowed the company to get rid of a large number of call-centre employees and decrease the cycle time of delivery of the product to distributors.
