Project Name Mobile Handset (GSM, UMTS and LTE) Application Testing

Project Description Project covers 3G (UMTS) & 4G (LTE) Mobile handsets application testing to ensure normal functioning of device and also to ensure conformance with 3GPP specifications and Telstra network requirements.

Project Duration December 2008 to Till date. (~41 Months)

Responsibilities Involved in understanding the scope of customer requirements and use cases

Contributed in end to end device testing, starting from device testing phase till its commercial launch.

This includes planning and execution of the Test Plans in close collaboration with senior management, vendors and customers.

Involved in device testing which covers following areas:

Network Subjective testing: Deals with the sets of tests performed on the terminal device to verify critical device functionalities under live and lab environments.

Application Testing: This testing covers the testing of all the native device applications (Ex: MMS, WAP, SMS, Voice/Video calls, Contacts).

Email Testing: Testing of Email functionality.(Verification of POP3/IMAP4 Email functionality. Verification of MS Push Email, Exchange, Active Sync, MoS. Verification of Blackberry Email. (Specific to Blackberry devices).

Client Application Testing: Client applications (Such as Navigator, MySync, MyEmail, Foxtel, MOS, Bigpond Music) which are integrated in the device were tested for their normal functionality.

Radio Testing: Partially involved in Radio throughput testing for various Cells (Near, Middle, Far) and GPS testing.

Test execution, analysis and test development. Identifying issues and reporting to Issue Register. Reproducing the issues to the device vendors when requested.

Core member in taking up the field tests for WhereIs Navigator Application.

Validating devices against OMA specs for Client Provisioning, DeviceManagement, Data Synchronization and UA Profile.

Involved in testing all popular vendor mobiles such as Nokia, Sony Ericson, HTC, Samsung, ZTE, Apple, Huawei, Motorola, etc with various OS platforms (sucha s Android, Windows, Symbian, Blackberry, Java, Mego, Bada, etc). Also involved in few data devices and modules.

Project Description This project targets the delivery of the product MyConnect, a unified messaging and email service for mobiles and PCs, built upon the Service Delivery Framework (SDF). The Service Delivery Framework eliminates costs related to duplication of functionality whilst enabling shorter time to launch new services (including a new generation of convergent services). Telstra’s Service Delivery Framework (SDF) targets the service creation and delivery capability in alignment with the Next Generation Network evolution.

Project Duration April 2008 – December 2008

Responsibilities Analysis of Telstra SDF Architecture and the Business Flow.

Identifying the test scenarios for Proxy Service and Business Service from the design flow BSC and CSC contracts.

Writing and reviewing the test cases for the Proxy Service and Business Service as per client requirements.

Uploading the test cases into QC and maintaining it on a regular basis.

Test Case execution of Business Services, Component Service and Portal using HPST and SoapUI.

Capturing and analysis of Server logs such as ALSB, ALBPM, S&P, UUP and snoops for analyzing the issue, raising the defect and tracking it.

Functionality and integration testing of a particular business service.

Interacting with the development team in understanding the design and take relevant inputs for making the TD more exhaustive.

Interaction with the development and technical architecture team providing assistance in reproducing problems, seeking design clarifications, discovering design gaps, working together to resolve issues.
