JOB SUMMARY: MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER / PROJECT ENGINEER - CAPITAL EQUIPMENT - MA

Company in the food equipment industry, looking for an experienced MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER. We are seeking a talented engineer with MACHINE DESIGN EXPERIENCE in CAPITAL EQUIPMENT, preferably within the food processing and or packaging machine industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Designs customized hardware to meet customers' needs based on standard processing machine offerings.

* Generates accurate models and detail drawings using Solidworks and AutoCAD.

* Travels to customer sites to assess project feasibility and to assist hardware installations.

* Works closely with sales team and with customers to define requirements.

* Works closely with the shop to assemble and test equipment prior to shipment.

* Ensures that all projects are completed accurately, on time, and are clearly documented.

REQUIREMENTS

* A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering experience.

* About 7+ years of machine design experience.

* Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS and 2D CAD software.

* Demonstrated ability successfully managing multiple projects.

* An ability to communicate effectively and in detail to all levels within the organization and to customers both one-on-one and to a group.

* Demonstrated logical thinking and problem solving skills.

* Understanding of mechanisms, materials, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.

* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements.

BOTTOM LINE (MUST HAVE)

(1) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

(2) About 7+ years of MACHINE DESIGN EXPERIENCE in CAPITAL EQUIPMENT in

food processing, packaging, or very similar.

(3) Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS and 2D CAD software.

(4) Demonstrated ability successfully MANAGING MULTIPLE PROJECTS.

(5) MBA in addition to Mechanical Engineering would be a plus.
