Senior Design Project: Molten Metal Delivery for Permanent Mold Casting September, 2011 – May, 2012
• Designed molding for solder that allows output solder samples to be used in tensile testing
• Designed system to effectively deliver molten solder from a crucible to the molding, while preventing oxidation
Junior Airplane Landing Gear Project September, 2010 - December, 2010
• Designed and assembled landing gear components using Pro-Engineer
• Modeled stresses each landing gear components would undergo during the opening and retracting process using Pro-Engineer
• Analyzed the results and determined that my landing gear design had factors of safety that were acceptable for this kind of structure
Build Project: VCR Cat-Feeder January, 2009 – May, 2009
• Designed a cat feeding system that used the recording timer feature of a VCR to dispense cat food at a preset time
• Created a functioning model of this design
• Won Build Project Award for best project design out of 25 groups
