My goal is to establish a permanent position in the printing industry and with my knowledge and experience I would be a major asset to any employer.

1996-2002 Thomas Products Co.

I started my printing field at Thomas Products, and during my time there I gained knowledge of a variety of positions in the printing industry. From 1996-1998 I was a press apprentice which entailed mounting flexographic plates, mixing and calibration of flexo inks, material handling, and set-up and break down of the presses which were 10” 5 color Comco, 7” 8 color Mark Andy, and 10” 2 color Roto. 1998-2000 I worked in the Art dept which entailed imaging, burning and producing flexo plates, and proofreading negatives. The remainder of my time was spent operating the Comco press and the Mark Andy.

2002-2004 Rite Now Container

At Rite Now I set up and ran a 2 color corrugation press, which entailed die cutting, printing, and folding containers.

2004-2010 R R Donnelley

My experience at Donnelley consisted of operating all of the various flexo presses they have at their facility which included a 10” 10 color Comco Commander in which I ran primarily as well as 8 color Mark Andy, 8 color Comco, and various 7” Comco Cadets.

While at Donnelley I gained knowledge of cold foil stamping, embossing, front and back coupons, hide-a-card and various other challenging labels.

They have 11 presses in their facility and with my knowledge and experience I was very capable of running any one of them and did so on a regular basis.

April 2011- April 2012 Stratus Group/ RR Donnelley

My time at Stratus was spent running a 10” 8 color Gallus press which entailed rotary screens, UV inks, cold foil stamping, embossing, and primarily film printing.

I am currently working at Hooven Dayton running a 16”,10 color Nilpeter.

I have knowledge of UV, solvent and waterbase inks, various varnishes, paper, film, plastics, cold foil stamping, hot stamping, embossing, sheeted runs, pinfeed, fanfolded runs, etc.

I’m never afraid of a challenge, or learning something new and printing has never been a “job” to me, its something I enjoy doing.

As well as my printing experience I also have been a Shipping Manager, Warehouse Lead, Material Handler, 3rd Shift Supervisor, and I am fully trained in equipment usage such as forklift, reachtruck, etc.
