Google Inc, July 2011-Present Role: Techno-Functional Consultant (Contractor)
● Part of the Purchasing to Payment (P2P) Development team in Google. Role includes system administration of Kofax Markview and resolving small issues in Oracle Applications.
● Maintains the Markview application (invoice approvals) integrated with Oracle Payables. Involved in maintenance and upgrade of server software. Other activities include patch application, server refresh, failover to the backup servers, installation and setup of client machines.
● Worked on documentation of markview schema, documenting the functional and technical architecture and created an internal website with information about the application.
● Worked on performance issues in the system involving code fixes using Pl/Sql and Sql query tuning. Wrote pl/sql packages for extracting data in the form of csv reports needed by the Purchasing Department.
● Involved in Proof of Concept activities – configuration and presentation for Contract Commitment Module of Oracle.
● Responsible for the installation of Oracle Application Server and the other components for setting up a Markview Application Server.
● Created shell scripts to automate the process of refresh for the application markview. In addition to this wrote several shell scripts to automate failover related processes reducing the time required for failover activities from 3-4 hours to less than an hour.
