* Coordinated electronic Tutoring System for use in Faculty of Arts to streamline process and procedure for students submitting course work. System was adopted by Atkinson College.

* Managed and developed an online version of the annual Computing Plan submission process. This eliminated the time required for submissions by individual departments each year. Thus, the process was effectively streamlined and the application was adopted by the Faculty of Health.

* Implemented online Faculty Directory and an Interactive Map for internal and external clients.

* Supervised the creation of an online Booking and Appointment system for Department of Political Science in the scheduling of advising sessions for undergraduate students.

Statistical Analysis & Interpretation

* Generated annual statistical reports of the breakdown of services provided to Faculty on Academic Support Services.

* Analyzed and produced report with policy recommendations based on Faculty of Arts Survey on Computing.

* Generated statistical report on the French Placement Test – Part 1.

Information Management

* Managed creation and development of an online Research Database for Faculty of Arts Research Officer.

* Managed the creation, development, and maintenance of Faculty of Arts Computing Plan Process.

* Initiated and produced report on the breakdown of LMS courses delivered by instructors for the Faculty of Arts, Atkinson College, the Faculty of Health, and the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies.

* Designed and implemented a Research Computing Support model for faculty members in the Faculty of Arts in their utilization of Information Technology for their respective research.

Leadership

* Led the creation and implementation of an online testing system for Japanese and French fluency, as well as the development of the second part of a French language placement test for the purpose of allocating students to appropriate courses.

* Managed, designed, recruited and allocated work of full-time web staff and work-study students in Academic Support Services to provide effective and efficient services and information to internal and external clients of the Faculty.

* Created strategic plan for merger of Atkinson College’s Academic IT Support with Faculty of Arts Academic IT Support.

* Initiated open source LMS (Moodle) to Faculty of Arts, which was adopted across campus. This resulted in elimination of prohibitive cost of commercial LMS (Learning Management System).

* Defined and developed a policy manual of Standard Operating Protocols for Academic Support Services.

* Provided recommendations to DACC (Dean’s Advisory Committee on Computing).

Budgeting

* Reviewed IT budgets and made recommendations on the procurement of hardware and software for computing needs of academic departments based on Computer Plan approvals and for faculty members based on their respective research requirements.

* Researched and made recommendations on appropriate open source software (Joomla) that resulted in eliminating costs of using commercial web software in maintenance of academic and administrative sites.

Training

* Developed and managed training curriculum for Faculty of Arts faculty and staff. Training centered on areas of web content development, course creation, delivery and evaluation.
