Design Engineer

Responsible for the research and development of mechanical and decorative hardware products for the patio door, shower door, and window industries, from conception to final product with key functions including:

• The creation of detailed mechanical parts drawings using geometric dimensions and tolerance.

• Generation and maintenance of bills of materials (BOM)

• Computer aided engineering (CAE) using ProEngineer 3-D modeling software

• Window sash lock functions as a standard sash lock but latches automatically when window is closed giving the user a clear indicator the window is locked (patent pending).

• Multipoint lock for entry doors which was designed around existing tooling adding value to customer by reducing new tooling costs and eliminating tooling costs for door routing.
