Professional Summary

I am currently contracting to Lockheed Martin as a consultant in the training department designing and developing technical training and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as Instructing and technical writing. Other responsibilities consist of the training of tool inspectors in the use of lasers, romer arm, and related equipment; I have a working knowledge of CATIA 4 & 5, SFM, QADs.

I consulted to the State of Georgia in the areas of manufacturing, engineering, technical writing and technical training, designing, and develop training in the areas of manufacturing, safety, lean, pre and post hire training.

I have experience as a tool/manufacturing engineer and as manager of tool fabrication, tool design, and Maintenance.

I have teaching experience with State of Georgia. I have participated in the set up and implementation of projects through the state as well as private corporations. This involved training that included Machine Tool Technology, Aircraft Structural Technology, Machine Maintenance, Blue Print Reading, Trigonometry, Safety, Precision Measuring and Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance, Quality Control, SPC, TQM, and Forklift Certification.

I had the responsibility of designing and building tooling for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, Northrop, Ayres, and Fairchild Dornier. As a Tool and Manufacturing Engineer, I identified problems and instituted corrective action, and wrote standards (SOPs) for operations. I have worked extensively with all types of Manufacturing equipment; mills, lathes, grinders, TIG & MIG welding equipment as well as Optical Tooling.

Other responsibilities consisted of the Inspection of all Tooling, First Article Production Parts, and the designing of Prototype Tooling.

I have the expanded knowledge of the implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques. I was active in recommending changes to CNC tooling and in the design of Mill fixtures. I participated in the implementation of Cell Technology and lean manufacturing events in the Machine Shop. I was also a member of the Design Review Team, reviewing all tooling concepts looking at cost, and time, and projected savings.

Qualifications

Over twenty-five years in manufacturing, ten years in management, engineering, tool liaison, and Inspection (tooling and production parts).

Ten years experience in developing technical training for Manufacturing by identifying technical, safety-training needs within manufacturing areas, developing, and conducting technical, safety training for new start up or existing plants.

Computer skills include Working knowledge of CATIA 4 & 5 Auto CAD 14, MSWord, Excel, and Power Point.
