Led, analyze, design, develop, implement, & production support software applications within PLS team. The team consists of 6 onsite including manager and 8 offshore resources. Major components include HTML, ASP.NET, C#, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server RPG ILE, COBOL, IBM Info sphere and many SDLC supporting tools.

Have successfully implemented following projects on time and in budget:

• Developments lead for MDS project. That includes Analyze, Design, Onsite & Offshore task management, Implement & Production Support of ETL solutions using IBM Info sphere product suits. The project is successfully implemented.

Designed, Developed, and Implemented application components for account number expansion, Alltel based loan boarding, and Global Loan Processing application systems. Major application component includes DB2, RPG ILE, CL ILE, COBOL, CICS & JCL.

• Converted classical System i database to new fully normalized DB2 UDB using SQL DDLs, increasing database portability & readability.

• Developed a process to board loans from vendor application, increasing productivity and accuracy.

Consultant Team/Architect Lead

Migrated one of the core application running in Mainframe environment to IBM System i platform. Major application component includes CICS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, SDA, & SQL.

• Developed tool to auto convert BMS screen sources to SDA DDS sources, and CICS/COBOL constructs with matching COBOL/400 constructs increasing productivity and reducing errors.

Consultant Analyst Developer/ETL Tuning & QA

Worked on Decision Support System as a team member. The DSS extracts data from source systems (billing, financial, inventory, sales, OE&OM, engineering etc) and loads into Informix based data stores. All analytical reports are than produced using Crystal & ASP. Major application component includes Crystal, RPG, Data Stage, Informix, ASP, & SQL.

• Developed custom ETL process to load large billing data, reducing load time from 22 hours to 3 hours.

• Designed and developed finance fraud management, tax & regulatory report systems, enhancing business control.

Consultant Analyst Developer/Data Architect

Joined Eaton’s Y2K remediation team as Sr. Analyst Developer. The core application was in RPG/400 and CL.

• Proposed new application testing methodology, reducing testing effort from six months to two months and saving significant labor costs.

• Designed and developed customize data aging tool as part of new testing methodology, saving money as compare to third party data aging tools.

• Led integration test effort and developed a process to make sure all screens and documents produced displayed ‘Test Run”, avoiding any unforeseen issuing of wrong check or indent.

• Developed application interfaces in IBM System i to pull data from Oracle, improving cross platform interface.

Project:Benjamin Moore Paints, NJ (1998)

Consultant, Project/Team Lead

Led and successfully delivered the Y2K remediation effort of Benjamin Moore Paints comprising over two million lines of code. This conversion was done using Time Translation Technique (3T).

• Awarded “Y2K project of the year” for exceptional work in leading team of 20 developers and delivering quality work in record time.

Project: IBM Pakistan (1995 – 1997)

DBA/Architect/Team Lead

On behalf of IBM Pakistan studied and documented procedures of a large inventory management system then designed a distributed information management system covering 27 locations. The application was developed on IBM System i. Led the development effort in the implementation of the first pilot system. All operations are on-line, interactive and real-time. Code was developed in COBOL/400, ILE COBOL, SQL and CL.

• Developed state of the art store management system, providing simple and unique interface for all different commodities like armament, signals, Engineers, Artillery, Ammo, GS&C, Electromechanical etc.

• Designed distributed database, providing high availability and 100% data redundancy in case of server fail over.

• Created store management application, improving accuracy and productivity from 3 to 8 on 10-point scale.
