Career History

Entrepreneur - Electronics Product Development

2008 - Present Owner/Operator Inventor (Freelance) Nova NPI, LLC (Saginaw, MI)

Turnkey Electronics Manufacturing Service typically for products that I have designer or redesigned for a variety of clients. As sole director, I hire specialized talent as needed, (EE’s, technicians, laborers) in the Saginaw Bay Michigan area. I have developed an HDTV Flat Panel I called the ‘Screen Vault.’ Invented the concept based on needs identified, designed the mechanisms, sourced the components, wrote and filed the patent application, started a corresponding LLC. Took the product prototypes to CES 2010 and ended up selling the entire concept, patent and LLC. Other activities:

• Through networking find jobs that provide a base of work for design, NPI activities and assembly (see www.novanpi.com)

• Turnkey support dedicated to exceeding client expectations in design, support for NPI and low volume manufacturing

• Investigate new business prospects, growing new business through developing products, prototypes (when relocated, closing business)

2008 - 2010 Sr. PCB Designer (Altium / AutoCAD) Amtech Electrocircuit (Troy, MI)

Unique position at this turnkey Electronics Manufacturing Service provider. Provided all CAD support to firm as needed. Used Altium Designer Winter09 / Summer09) to design a wide variety of digital, analog, RF, high current and flex circuits. Able to add value to the sales operation by offering design alternatives with lower costs and improved ROI’s. This approach lewd to new account work that would have not been available without the creative offering to capture the account by capturing the ability to offer a better product at a lower price. Using AutoCAD, Camtastic, Altium, Numeric Solutions, MS Office and a host of other desktop workstation software I was able to support the entire operation and contribute to growth of the company.
