- Drafted the shutdown/closure of three SPO computer rooms, including the migration of the applications into the UCE (Utility Compute Environment) and the VMWare farm
- Facilitated the migration of 12 WINTEL servers from a location that was closing into the VMWare farm on time and under budget by 25%.
- Collaborated on project teams to move all SPO UNIX client server applications from standalone servers into the UCE environment
- Executed the upgrade of the SPO server environment (47 servers) from a WINDOWS 2000 to a WINDOWS 2003 operating system in line with corporate milestones.
- Assisted on the corporate teams to transition North American Hosting Services from a regional organization to a global organization.
- Guided the transition from the current Hosting Supplier to the new Hosting Supplier for all of the SPO Mid-Range servers, which involved 140 servers across 22 different sites.
- Enabled the North American teams to transition the SPO IS&S environment from a business unit level organization to a North American regional organization.
- Completed the migration of 17 UNIX and WINTEL servers from the Swartz Creek Computer room to the SPO World Headquarters Computer Room on schedule and budget.
- Oversaw the move of around 1200 employees from three locations into the one location. This included all IT infrastructures, which included the telecommunication hardware, the WAN/LAN hardware, the employee desktops and all of the servers from the three locations.
- Managed the migration of the four SPO mainframe LPARS from the Hosting Supplier’s location in Michigan to their location in Texas.
- Instituted in a timely fashion all Contract Change Controls for the SPO mainframe and mid-range server agreements.
- Motivated the Mid-Range Server Hosting Suppliers to refresh “aged” infrastructure and software to comply with corporate guidelines for these IT assets
- Maintained the IT assets for the entire SPO business unit, excluding the desktop devices.
- Transformed the SPO WAN/LAN services from a business unit owed process to a corporately managed and owned process.
- Managed the transition from the current Hosting Supplier to the new Hosting Supplier for all of the SPO Mid-Range servers, which included around 140 servers across 22 different sites.
- Represented the Mainframe and Mid-Range server environments on the SPO Change Activity Board (CAB) that managed all infrastructure and applications changes occurring within the SPO business unit.
- Developed Incident Management review processes and aligned them with SLA review/calculations for the SPO business unit.

- Organized the data center cable cleanup after the switch from bus and tag to fiber cabling for the new OS/390 mainframe. This involved the removal of all the bus and tag cables under the raised floor used by the previous mainframe.
- Spearheaded the installation of a motor generator used for the data center and critical areas in the headquarters location. This was a preventive action because of the possible Y2K issues that might be occurring. This project was completed on time and under budget by 15%.
- Coordinated the implementation and installation of the Remedy software packages to be used by the corporation; this included both the business areas and the IT department. The IT department utilized the Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration components of Remedy software. The Business areas used it as a knowledge database for the various customer support call centers.
