Professional Objective
Serve as an entry or mid level Quality Specialist, Industrial, Quality, Manufacturing Engineer or staff responsible for applying Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis and decision tools to promote and assist in implementing changes in manufacturing, engineering and service operations. Special interests in value stream mapping, resource allocation and computer simulation.
Executive Summary
Mechanically apt professional with seven + years of industrial, manufacturing and aviation experience. Seasoned and flexible entry to mid-level Industrial Engineering practitioner with a strong desire and ability to learn. Ready to put into practice existing knowledge and skills related to controlling the scope, cost and timing of projects, performing risk analysis using project management tools and applying analytical skills to promote design improvements based on summarized data. Well known for capacity planning, integrated systems management and a hands-on approach.
Proven Project Leadership Ability
Established new policies and projects while managing aviation support elements to motivate and synergize project teams to improve the quality of services. Revitalized marginally performing aviation support program to achieve a superior rating during a formal USAF inspection in 2001.
Attention to Detail
Personally found discrepancies during major overhauls of aircraft and performed or supervised corrective actions. Directed major phase inspection and overhaul activities with 100 percent quality assurance pass rate with zero defects on all assigned airframes during 2000-2001 all while reducing cycle time by an average of 4 days each.
Quality Experience
Participated in an ongoing internal quality audit with plant Engineers resulting in the lowest levels of environmental emissions previously recorded at the largest fertilizer plant in North America. Assisted with the implementation of quality design improvements, such as acid venturi scrubber systems and regenerative thermal oxidizer upgrades, which resulted in an excellent pass rating during subsequent EPA inspections in 2003.
Lean / Six Sigma
General and specialized knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Received a grade of A + on capstone academic project focusing on batch production with lean / six sigma applications. Assisted Rockwell Arena Simulation team, winning first place overall in a nationwide competition.

Employment History
Owner / Operator Minter Concrete Solutions, Avondale Estates, GA 2008-present
Observed a void in the local market for residential decorative concrete services. Started a licensed decorative concrete company to serve the greater Atlanta region and also to fill gaps in personal income due to the difficulty of finding flexible part time employment while in school. Established pricing, performed estimates, developed process techniques and directly performed or supervised labor and customer service activities. Managed customer expectations while providing quality service (MinterConcreteSolutions.com).
Warehouse Manager Quest-mark, Stone Mountain ,GA 2007-2008
Performed inventory operations daily and managed supply chain flow to support industrial concrete polishing / contracting services. Initiated equipment utilization monitoring and promoted capacity planning. Used SAP software, spreadsheets and data bases to analyze and summarize data. Managed logistics of personnel and materials, monitored vendors and suppliers, established procedures for tracking equipment and materials. Produced reports, charts, tables and graphs to communicate supply chain strategies to management. Organized appropriate data in order to develop recommendations. Implemented and monitored an hourly preventative maintenance program on all company equipment for the South East U.S. region. Assisted in general integrated systems management for industrial concrete projects throughout the U.S.
Plant Operator / Quality Controller New York Organic Fertilizer Company, Bronx, NY 2002-2004
Took measurements and monitored all activities related to the processing and manufacture of fertilizer products at the largest residuals management plant in North America. Analyzed data in order to ensure smooth product flow. Assisted in the troubleshooting of technical issues and performed structured sampling procedures in order to ensure a quality product. Cooperated in Statistical Process Control (SPC) program. Collaborated in strategic planning with Plant Engineers to reduce cost while maintaining a high level of consistency and quality. Assisted with research, design, development, and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, improve quality and reduce emissions on all plant systems. Performed limited PLC programming and assisted engineering with Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Airframe and Power-plant Technician United States Air Force 1997-2001
Served honorably in diverse environments and positions. Assignment in Germany devoted to direct fightline sortie support activities for the 81st Fighter Squadron such as launch and recovery and routine maintenance of tactical aircraft. Assigned as a phase aircraft quality inspector performing major inspections and overhauls on A-10 aircraft with some F-15 and F-16 exposure. Assigned to the 40th Flight Test Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base. This position directly supported flight testing activities with A-10, F-15, F-16, Huey and UAV type aircraft. Testing was primarily done on new technologies and missile systems such as the Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) and helmet mounted targeting technology. These positions along with training opportunities provided the ability to troubleshoot, inspect and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components on nearly any system.
Sheet Metal Technician J&H Sheet Metal, Laurel, MS 1995-1997
Participated in customer consultation in order to design and develop metal processes and products. Performed or assisted with the manufacturing processes of various specialty metal items in order to meet customer requirements and specifications. Manufactured quality finished metal products for customers by taking precise measurements and interpreting schematics.
