Software Quality Assurance Lead

CT Summation focuses on web based hosting of litigation documentation, litigation management

and eDiscovery services support.

Dex Media is the exclusive publisher of white and yellow page directories in the 14 states where

Qwest Communications provides local service, and will continue to do so under a 50-year agreement.

- Responsible for the on-going QA support of the company’s web site, in addition to other

e-commerce web sites. These web applications were written in PHP, ASP, HTML, JAVA, and C++.

- Performed weekly web application builds and releases (an e-commerce site) to the QA’s

Application Servers and to the Production Servers via Bea’s Web Logic.

- Performed metrics testing using the Omniture’s siteCatalyst software to measure site traffic

(track visitors, customer activities), advertising effectiveness, and sources of sales.

- Performed Data Integrity testing using SQL to ensure that the company’s customers are assigned

to the right sales representative in the Oracle tables.

- Reviewed functional/design requirements documents.

- Created Test Plans to define test strategies, test cases and test project schedules

Manager/Quality Assurance, Denver, CO (2000-2003)

At the request of the Vice President, Development Support in Denver, relocated to build and manage

the IT Quality Assurance team supporting the financial services products, (e.g., Mutual Funds,

Retirement Planning, Insurance, Trust Services and College Savings Plans). Responsible for hiring,

developing, evaluating staff to improve, writing appraisals and conduct employee reviews, test and

stabilize the IT platforms in a critical environment. This included creating teams consisting of

employees, consultants and vendors to identified, analyzed and resolved system issues to positively

affect corporate operations.

- Managed a dedicated team of IT professionals who consistently ranked in the top five positions

within the QA Division inter-rankings.

- Developed and successfully implemented metrics to track and report on post-production defects,

resulting in the identification and quick resolution of inherent system shortcomings and creating

a more stable environment for corporate clients.

- Provided data mining services to other QA Analysts using Hummingbird’s BI-Query on an Oracle

database, SQL and M/S Access, which resulted in greater data coverage for their test cases.

- Selected a specialized project team who customized and implemented a software defect-tracking

Managed a staff of six people responsible for the majority of pre-production testing and evaluation

of new IT products and security needs.

- Managed all phases of acceptance testing for large scale, multi-phase projects, which included

budgetary reviews, balancing plan estimates with corporate deadlines, and managing resource

allocation and control activities while meeting user expectations.

- Managed the hiring process to support the immediate needs of the unit as well as the IT strategic

direction, resulting in creating a group that was used as a training ground to fill other IT

management positions throughout the organization.

- Analyzed and evaluated high level test strategies, specifications, and product effect and
