Job Title : PIPING ENGINEER / FIELD ENGINEER
WORK DESCRIPTION :
• Develop and check system design drawings in conformance with Project Specifications, Design Parameters, Codes and Industry Practices.
• Executing the assigned design and drafting activities following the instructions given by the Area Piping Engineer in accordance with the quality system in force within the Discipline, job requirements, and time schedule.
•
• Review Project Specifications, Administrative and Technical Practices, Design Instructions, Plot Plans, Flow Diagrams and supplier information.
• Perform manual / computer layouts using Specifications, Standard Drawings, Design Instructions, Plot Plans, Flow Diagrams, Line Lists and Vendors Data.
• Communicates and interfaces with other project design and engineering disciplines.
• Develop detailed design project Piping and Equipment Models using PDS - Plant Design System.
• Review pipe routing using SPR and check isometric drawings against P&ID, Specifications, Standards and Equipment vendor information for final issuance to fabrication contractor.
• Performed squad check of vendor drawing and other discipline design drawings.
• Capable of creating piping plans and GA drawings using PD Draw.
• Communicate using Email and Sametime to counterpart for there model comments and inquiries.
• Extract normal/system isometrics using interactive and batch mode in the ISOGEN drawing manager.
• Running reports for checking of the correctness of piping model.
• Ability to run RDB to ensure all material is updated.
• Ability to run IDP to check for clashing against other discipline.
• Keep updating of model status record.
• Issuing isometrics for checking, design and construction.

• Prepare Isometric sketches for all Stress critical lines with the possible support locations and assist the stress engineer to carry out stress analysis.
• Assist the MTO designer in Preliminary and Intermediate Material take-off and input the same to Material Management System and co-ordinate with MTO designer for any update of the material requirements / changes with in the area through out the project.
• Performs IDP check and resolution of clashes and RDB updates.
• Executes project discipline coordination and interface
• Plot plan development
• Attends Model Review and Technical Coordination with the clients.
• Model supports (Physical / Logical) based on the Stress Comments for critical lines and non-critical lines according to the established Technical Practices.
• Based on the Study Layouts / Model, provide Civil / Structural requirements to Civil /Structural section for all non critical lines.
• Resolve and co-ordinate all clashes within the piping discipline and other discipline.
• Preparing comments on drawing and specification related to other discipline which may be affected by piping activities.
• Assist, Remodel and Update the model based on the Internal, Client reviews, latest
Supplier information and Isometric checking comments and maintain the clash free
model.
• Providing "Feedback" to the Area Piping Engineer concerning problem arising from
application of standard methods and work instruction.
• Filing drawings and documents according to the instructions of Area Piping Engineer.
• Complete any design not finished by counterpart and issue appropriate documents.
• Rerview contractor’s [ressure test pack working closely with the turnover group.
• Interface with their Fluor Construction Superintendent area counterparts.
• Verify that equipment is set and oriented correctly.
• Monitor piping activities onsite daily and review against the latest P&ID’s and PDS snapshot for accuracy.
• Assist in keep P&ID masters up to date(once turned over to the site from process)
• Provide model snapshots to the contractors as needed.
• Participate in Engineering Punch List walkdowns.
• Carrying out site survey activities at field to develop 2D Piping general Arrangement Drawings, Tie-in/Disinvestment isometric drawings under the supervision and following the instructions of Area Piping Engineer according to the established Technical Work Practices.
