o Responsible for planning and dimensioning a transmission network plan based on the proposed network, responsible for regular updating of Transmission Network Diagram/topology, transmission linklist, on air updates, transmission dependencies and issues.
o Performs Pathloss calculations for proposed link up sites which includes Path Profile for minimum antenna height requirement of sites corresponding azimuth considering frequency, distance and equipment to be used, and Link Budget calculations considering frequency, transmission equipment, distance, fade margin as well as reliability.
o Prepares MUX plan/transmission routing plan for existing and new sites with the corresponding port assignments from BTS sites to BSC, provides E1 port assignment for reroute and TRX upgrade of existing and new sites.
o Prepares frequency planning and frequency interference study for the existing and the new sites of the entire transmission network.
o Conducts line of sight survey as verification of the proposed link up sites for the new sites and reroute of existing sites.
o Creates advanced capacity planning and traffic dimensioning of the whole transmission network in order to determine required transmission upgrades to cater upcoming Projects.
o Approves Transmission Site Survey Reports based on the actual site survey done which includes technical site survey for the proposed locations of DDF, ODF, MUX, cable routing, etc.
o Provides technical support to field operations and maintenance group in restoration, cutover activities, mapping plans, installations and any transmission issues and concerns.
o Ensures there are enough E1/transmission for ongoing projects especially for expansion, transmission upgrades and site rehoming/rehosting, and provides full transmission network plans and regular updates for the targets sites to be on air.
o Evaluation and approval of engineering plans including network topology, transmission structure/E1 plan, synchronization plans, network management plans, traffic and E1 mapping plans, as well as as-built documents.
