Project Description – The S2B program will provide the following –
o Technical training - Agenda about student trainings being done in partnership with State governments, online webcasts, academic developer conference, other Microsoft events and links to resources that we think are the most important to students.
o Soft Skills trainings - We aspire to provide some good content to help students improve their communication, leadership and management skills. These as all of you know are things skills without which you cannot reach the top.
o Academic Projects - This is the equivalent of the MSAPP program. However this time we want you to submit the projects that you are working on to us instead of working on project topics given by us. The objective is to identify the great work that happens in our academic institutions from all of you and provide you with a platform to showcase this to the world. The best projects will be invited to showcase their projects at state and national level expos. Various deadlines for the academic projects are available on the website.

Project Description – Responsible for analyzing and assessing project requirements, creating requirement understanding documents, activity diagrams, functional and technical specifications, and estimating timelines; establishing standards and procedures for database design and for application development; development, unit testing, build and deployment of software applications, and establishing proper processes for the same.
o The Account and Pricing Management module requirements, created requirement understanding documents, and activity diagrams using Microsoft Visio 2003, which showed the various activities that could be performed on each screen of the module. This helped the client get an in-depth look in the way the module was going to be developed.
o Collaborated in the development and implementation of the 5-Tier architecture of the project.
o Created Functional Specification documents that documented the various screenshots of the screens, the business rules to be implemented per screen and the page actions performed on these screens.
o Created Technical Specification documents with Class Diagrams that established the inter-module and intra-module relationships of the application.
o Carried out manual unit testing of User Management module to resolve any unaddressed issues.
o Single handedly performed mission-critical activities of Build Roll-out and Deployment on Staging and QA servers and established procedures for the same, thus displaying my strong capabilities of handling critical phases of the application development. Also carried out the weekly upload of Code and Database backups on the FTP for ready access of the client using the WinSCP3 FTP Client.
o Carried out periodical inter-module code reviews and created Code Review Logs for them. This helped maintain periodical checks on the coding being done against the established standards and procedures, thus achieving uniformity in coding across the application.
