 Work focused on generating ideas for establishing Layer 3 connectivity for a terminal to the core network.

 Represented Marvell as a standards delegate for system architecture (SA2) and core network (CT1) working groups of the 3GPP forum. Focused on the LTE NAS layer.

 Was able to successfully push the essential ideas into the standards and also to stand firm on the strategic position.

 Monitored and contributed in the IETF forum in the MIPSHOP, NETLMM and MEXT working groups.

 Authored/Co-Authored 16 provisional patent applications.

 Was a key contributor in implementing the LTE RLC layer in the network simulator written in C/C++.

 UMTS/GSM Software Applications Engineer Jun 2006 to May 2007

Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, California

 Acted as an interface between developers and the customers as well as testing team in providing technical support for the UMTS/GSM based on software written in C/C++.

 Work concentrated on the TCP/IP stack and PPP protocol for establishing a data connection with the network.

 Analyzed call logs, call flows, ethereal captures, tcp dumps, analyzed and debugged C/C++ code using JTAG debugger to locate the problem, performing tests by running various test cases for reproducing the problem.

 Following up with the developer & customer to successfully generate a fix for the problem and resolve the issue.

 Worked closely with the development team and testing team, for implementation of new features as well as performing regression tests on them to find an issue in the software.

 Research Engineer – Co-op Jan 2005 to July 2005

Nokia Research Center, Irving, Texas

 Part of Nokia’s IEEE 802.11 TGs team focused on development of routing and security protocols for 802.11s Mesh Networks to allow seamless communication between 802.11 wireless devices.

 Co-Authored 2 provisional patent applications and researched various routing and security algorithms for ad hoc wireless networks and their applicability to the deployment of Mesh networks.

 Contributed ideas towards internal technical reports and also contributed to a paper on Mesh Networks to appear in Special Issue of IEEE Communications Magazine.

 Other responsibilities include evaluating feasibility of other proposed protocols depending on implementation issues, advising the team likewise, and preparing technical reports and presentations.

 Intern July 2004 to Oct 2004
