I worked with a software company Info Needle creating spaces for their virtual expo. I also worked for a tile company who was out with new line of slate tiles, creating 3D scenes to show potential clients the use of these tiles in different contexts, wherein every tile has a different theme and each scene is created to capture that mood. I also did 3D of a Urban design project and Space planning of a warehouse for a staging company.
3 - Define, San Francisco (Feb 2009- Dec 2009)
3D artist - I work part time as a 3D artist, creating 3D renderings on 3Ds max with standard and vray plug-in. I mostly do virtual exhibition booths where the challenging part is creating as many designs as possible in limited amount of time.
Architect Kaif Faquih and Associates, Mumbai, India (2003)
Space Planner/Office Organizer – I worked on several residential as well as jewelry projects. My duties and responsibilities included drawings, details on AutoCAD as well as office organization. The thing I learnt the most while working with this firm was team work, it was a big firm with responsibilities divided among the staff and it was a fast paced environment where every work had tight timelines.
Architect Viki Thakkar, Neev Design Consultants, Mumbai, India (2002)
Assistant Designer / Space Planner - My work included creating drawings on AutoCAD (conceptual designing and space planning), visiting sites, meeting clients, selecting materials, supervising sites as well as accounting. The projects primarily consisted of retail spaces. This was a small firm and hence my duties and responsibilities changed with the demand of the job. The most challenging part while working in India was communication of design with the contractors.
Architect Bakul Parekh, Mumbai, India – summer 2001 (3 months)
