I have a background in Bio - medical research and a Masters in Hospital and Healthcare Management. The combination provides me with a platform to working seamlessly with a team of physicians, technicians and business administrators. I have a keen interest in increasing efficiency of process flows, business development and providing service excellence.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Executive – Administration, Hinduja Hospital, Mahim, Bombay, Jan 2010 to date
(i) Head of Department, Operations, Preventive Health Check
• Led a team of seven to service over 7,000 preventive health checkups with a turn over of Rs. 3.5 Cr and a CSI of 85% annually
• Raised the benchmark for Patient TAT, from 80 to 85% and Medical report TAT, from 80 to 90%
• Enhanced efficiency of the processes by conducting a Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) study to identify and eliminate pitfalls in the existing system
• Developed and executed new packages to widen bouquet of services: Total Lifestyle profile package and Sudden Cardiac Arrest package
• Generated additional business by interacting with business owners to empanel for an annual/ pre- employment health checks
(ii) Head of Department, Operations, Laboratory Medicine
• Managed a team of 35 to collect, transport, conduct and deliver results of over 95,000 test annually, growing at a rate of 7-10%
• Conducting routine quality assurance and patient satisfaction studies
• Supervising a team working toward acquiring NABL accreditation
• Responsible for creating a spirit of transparency, comradery and service excellence throughout the department
(iii) Strategic planner, Mobile Health unit
• Customized a bus to accommodate portable X – ray machine, Lab testing machines, consultation room, oxygen and suction, diesel generator, PA system et. al.
• Aimed at providing education on preventive health, gratis diagnosis and treatment to the rural population that lack of access to primary healthcare: Jawhar, Vikramgadh, Bapugaon and Manor villages in Maharashtra
(v) Quality - Core Committee member
• Executed a pan hospital audit to compare the NABH standard elements with the practices being followed with emphasis on the accurate use of standard format/ performa’s
• Identified frequently viewed documents/ information and made the same readily accessible on intranet portal
• Supervised the updating, document control, printing and distribution of all the Clinical and Hospital wide manuals
• Analyzed pan hospital patient complaints, 2009-2011. Identified specific parameters for dissatisfaction and generated an action plan report for departments concerned
• Member of Executive team to plan, design and execute the Privilege Card for HNH patients
