• Worked on remote projects throughout US related to quality control/quality assurance.
May 08 – Dec 08 Training / Internship, Air India Limited, New Delhi, India
• Implementation of Six Sigma techniques like DMAIC and Pareto Analysis, for improving braking system used in modern airplanes and reduction of defects in manufacturing.
• On the floor training related with the manufacturing and inspection techniques being used in the industry.
• Trained on productivity enhancement using lean Manufacturing tools for identifying and eliminating waste and improved overall process by tools like JIT, set up time and WIP reduction.
OTHER EXPERIENCE:
Aug 10 – May 11 Teaching Assistant, Support Operations for Academic Retention, Texas Tech University
• Assisted students in engineering subjects such as Engineering Economics, Mechanics etc.
• Assisted professors in math and physics departments.
• Mentored and motivated the students in performing better in their studies
RELATED COURSEWORK:
• Product Design/Development Project Management Supply Chain Management
• Industrial Automation Advanced Manufacturing Computer Aided Manufacturing
• Resource Management

• PRO/Engineer (wildfire 2.0) Solid Works 2009 AutoCAD 2009
• Oracle Crystal Ball 7 Risk modeling using spreadsheet Microsoft Office Suites
• MS Project ANSYS 8.0 Minitab
ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
Design of Connecting Rod: Computer Aided Manufacturing
• Designed and manufactured a connecting rod performing material selection and specification with a view to withstand heavy load and power transmission for optimal performance from an industry standpoint.
Design and Fabrication of Beta-type Stirling Engine: Senior Year Project
• Unlike the Alpha machine, the Beta engine has a single power piston and a displacer, whose purpose is to "displace" the working gas at constant volume; this generated fewer vibrations.
• Concept of gear designing were used and designing was done using SolidWork software.
• This type of engine avoids the technical problems related to moving hot seals, unlike alpha engine. Hence giving 15% higher efficiency.
Design and Fabrication of Regenerative Braking System for bicycles: Junior year in-house project
• Team project in which designing of RBS for bicycles was done using torsional springs using AutoCAD software.
• The system gave high efficiency (almost 30% higher than regular ride) and helped make bike ride smoother.
ACTIVITIES:
• Orientation Advisor at the Office of International Affairs for the new student Orientation for the FALL ‘10 & SPRING ’11 session
• President of the dramatics club
• Head of Core Committee at the Annual Event for Indian Student Association held on 21 August 2010
