Work Experience
Chili’s- Stafford, VA: Bartender/Server. January 2011-present
Successfully completed the training program within the allotted time frame, which included passing all written examinations with a 90% or better. Job duties include waiting tables, attentiveness to detail and customer needs, adapting to highly variable environments and situations, busing tables, running food, product knowledge, maintaining Virginia State and Chili’s regulations on health code, quality assurance, phone orders, bartending etc.
Borders- Stafford, VA and Glen Allen, VA: Bookseller/Café Seller/Inventory Processing Team. October 2004- January 2011.
Job duties ranged from customer service, register duties, product knowledge and identification, basic computer use, beverage production, health code standards, freight receiving and shipping, shelving, cleanliness standards. Two of the six years of service here were spent as a supervisor for the café. Job duties included all of the above as well as inventory control, project management, team leadership, ordering, public outreach, financing, money handling, disciplinarian activities, etc. Highlights include employee of the month many times over, promotion to café supervisor, transitioning store remodels in two separate stores, several raises, letters of excellent service from customers, and transitioning a preexisting café to a Seattle’s Best Coffee café.
