Education: Graduated from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona, B.S. in Accounting, with graduate work at Texas Tech. University; recent Associate Degree in Computer and Information Science from Cerritos College. Also graduated from Pacific Contractors School in Anaheim, CA. 2011-Present: Self Employed Consultant: Worked with several general contractors for systems design and installation, monthly financial Statements and WIP, general advice to resolve accounting problems.

2008-2010 EAR Engineering, Construction & Support Services, Inc: Controller of public works construction and environmental general contractor

Under heavy pressure of Bonding Company and the Bank, prepared the financial statements and bonding reports (WIP & SWC) of the year before; got an improved line of bonding from a different bonding company; set up a new Accounts Payable Department from ground up, hired and trained clerks into competent AP specialists; used subcontracts and defined procedures to assure accurate payments; met vendors and discussed terms; revamped Timberline installation, upgraded and administered it; centralized contract and subcontract administration; coordinated the flow of data and paper to maximize efficiency; administered and upgraded the network servers and stations to improve speed and safeguard information resources; initiated disaster recovery plan for computers, increased control over company vehicles and equipment; negotiated insurances; directly supervised five including human resources specialist; managed day-to-day activities of a busy accounting department.

2004-2008: Dynamic Homes, Controller of general contractor, tract home-builder & land developer in CA and AZ:

Hands on designed and setup accounting systems for one general contractor and two home builders in

California (six developments of 14 to 36 each) and Arizona (a phased development of 500 homes, commercial building and a country club); installed, troubleshot and administered Timberline software; set up the accounting system of the home building companies to lend itself to general plans and phased development; started and trained specialists to help with AP, payroll, job cost, and loan draws; handled the general ledger and financial statements personally; kept a working inventory of company heavy earth moving machineries; imposed reasonable internal controls to insure maximization of profit and safeguard of company assets, passed the Arizona and California contractors exam and became the company RME.

2000-2004: Morillo Construction Company, Controller & network admin. of public works contractor,

Led the Accounting Department from 8 million to 20 million in four years and restructured the whole accounting system. Installed Advanced Microsoft Windows 2000 network and converted the QuickBooks to Timberline Software; designed the new accounting system and procedures of the commercial contractor; centralized Accounting Department; trained accounting clerks to handle AP, AR, Payroll, and job cost under close supervision; handled general ledger and prepared financial statements and WIP, and communicated with outside CPA as well as the bonding company; set up certified payroll, gave advice to CEO, managed the day-to-day busy accounting office; heavily used subcontract system.

1996-2000: Federal Communications Group, Controller of telephone system contractor:

Installed Microsoft NT network, converted the existing accounting system (Contractor III) to Timberline; designed the new accounting system and procedures to cover GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventories and job cost, improved reporting, prepared financial statements and WIP; participated in and closely supervised AP, AR, Payroll and Job cost

1993-1996: The Barber-Web Company, Controller of landfill subcontractor with operations in twelve Western and Central states:

Installed Construction Partner Software; designed the general ledger and job cost to generate financial statements and WIP by State; trained two clerks to help with AR, AP, billing, payroll, inventories, and job cost, prepared financial statements and WIP; prepared multi-state sales and payroll taxes; improved the internal controls

1986-1993: Arcashen Construction, Public Works and Aerospace Contractor

RME and controller of high-tech and public works contractor, worked three years as combined estimator and on-site superintendent, and five years as controller; converted the software into American Contractor; designed accounting systems, prepared financial statements and bonding reports, improved internal controls; supervised closely, AP, AR, billing, JC and payroll; signed union contracts and took part in related meetings

1981-1985: MD Contractors and Jams Group, Controller of home builder and general commercial contractor, prepared financial statements and WIP, supervised GL, AP, AR, JC, loan draws, and payroll; trained and supervised two clerks.
