RNO – LCC Pakistan [Huawei – Ufone Phase 8 Optimization] Sep’ 10 – Present

RF Optimization

• Post processing of drive test log files to analyze drive test problems and determine if caused by poor RF coverage, RF interference, RF quality etc. and trouble shooting by fine tuning and hard optimization

• Drive testing using TEMS INVESTIGATION & using the tool like STAT MONITOR to rectify the fault by parameter optimization. Hands-on experience with multi-server environment cleanups and looking after corporate client’s problems and proposing solutions for the problems

• Capacity enhancement procedures like micro cell capturing implementation and expansions

• Optimizing parameters for proper traffic sharing between GSM/DCS Layers

• Responsible for traffic dimensioning with optimal use of half rate. Site health report analysis and execution of antenna redesign activities.

• RF Drive test for optimization of the GSM networks & Check GPRS/EDGE performance Drive Test include ( Pre & Post Cluster, Edge/GPRS Testing, Trx Testing ,IBS Testing )

• Drive Test includes the analysis of RF parameters like cell sites RF coverage, Rx Lev, Rx Qual , C/I, inter-cell and intra-cell handovers, HO failures, Dropped calls, etc

• Prepare Drive test Plot of Coverage, Quality, & reports

• Analysis of Statistics and Drive tests Data for monitoring the performance of the network and generate report of the findings.

• Prepared Pre and Post Drive test reports with KPI, Problem cause and recommendation solutions

• Monitoring Key Performance Identification (KPI) by means of SDCCH/TCH drop calls, call set up success rate, handover success rate and congestion rate, and conducting Final acceptance Report by means of statistics and drive test measurements.

• Cluster optimization and acceptance.

• Generating KPI Reports for the customer from the data collected from Drive tests.

• Proposed and implemented optimization tasks for network performance improvement, interference analysis, neighbor list optimization, antenna azimuth changes, etc.

Initial site optimization, Frequency planning/retuning, Neighbor planning

• Initial site optimization of new macro/micro cell sites & troubleshooting of problematic cells having degraded KPI’s

• Statistics monitoring, analyzing and optimizing DCR, CSSR, HSR, carried traffic, CS TCH blocking, SDCCH blocking, HO distribution, SDCCH breakup etc according to default KPI’s

Cluster drive testing / GPRS testing / Initial tuning using TEMS Investigation

• Performed drive test collection and analysis using TEMS 8.1 & TEMS 9 for initial tuning before acceptance of sites by the customer, Initial tuning involves identification of problems including sector swapping, handover failures, call setup failures, low RX level, over shooting cells, and verification of BCCH frequencies, BSIC and the issuance of recommendations to rectify these problems. Prepared DT reports using TEMS

• New city drive testing (Idle and Dedicated mode) and ensuring overall performance of all the sites including the selection/reselection, Handover, Rxlev, Rxqual, TA, Best server, C/I, etc

• Responsible for Monitoring and maintaining the KPI’s of the assigned clusters, Taking necessary steps in order to improve the cluster KPI’s e.g. CSSR, HSR, DCR etc. And responsible to get these clusters approved from the customer on contracted KPI’s.

• Made Cluster Acceptance Pre and Post swap reports.

• Involved in redesign activities.
