Consultant and acting director for private companies designing and implementing corporate management initiatives, business performance analysis (operations and financials), business development, marketing and business performance improvements. Among clients are:

.- Medical Imaging group. Design and implement company organization and financials within Venezuela to develop the retail Medical Imaging business. Managed all financials related to the Venezuelan import process and regulatory affairs (CADIVI, Sitme, and import regulatory affairs), sales, new businesses analysis, local joint-ventures, marketing initiatives.

.- Alturaconsult - (Partner). Consult firm with offices in Caracas and Bogota. Executed projects for the Puerto Rico Development Bank, Axtel (Mexico), E-Landia (Latam)

.- BMW-Bavarian Motors (Venezuela, Argentina and Uruguay). Designed and executed financial and operational performance improvements for the Venezuela, Uruguay and Costa Rica. Acted as business analysis and planning director for the motorcycle and car dealer performance. Implemented cost reduction plan, and down sized overall business.

.- Develop strategic plans, scenario analysis and transformation plans for private companies in Venezuela (Stock brokerage and investment firm; Telecom service company; Pharmaceutical retail group).

Managing Director – Venezuela Office (2007-2008)

Directed operations for the Venezuela branch in a $80M international project engineering company servicing the oil and gas industry, responsible for company financial results, engineering project performance, sales and commercial bids.

Put in place new organization reducing number of VP’s and business support personnel with a total of a 25% headcount reduction. Revised and helped negotiate a company walk-out in a $1,2M EPC contract reducing exposure and risk for the local operation.

Corporate Planning Director and Business Performance (2004-2007)

Directed financial and strategic planning for the largest private electric company in Venezuela serving 1.2M customers (US$600M in revenues; 2500 employees) applying the experience acquired during a 15 year field O&M experience in the Generation, Transmission and Distribution business units. Responsible for the design and execution of company strategic transformation plan focused to improve performance and reduce energy losses, from plan initial development, communication, follow-up and execution.
