Midwest Director of Information Technology Operations

Responsible for Midwest United States. Manager for staff of 20 responsible for PC break fix and server management for over 8,000 users. Responsible for over 10 contract resources that cover 24 x 7 operations. Managed IT budget as well as day-to-day operations. IT Project Manager responsible for Infrastructure costs and support for the Michigan Automation Project. This was a 7.5 million dollar budget. Responsibilities included installing two new Cisco Core switches as well as 15 individual switches and totally upgraded our entire LAN. Utilized Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, and Project to provide reporting to Upper Management. Utilized Websphere to hold project meetings and web conferences. Developed and implemented back up scheme for Michigan and Tennessee. Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley Act and ensuring compliancy. Supported plant environment, which included pick to light for tracking inventory. Project Manager responsible for the opening of our new Electronic Arts facility in Redford, Michigan. This was a 100,000 square foot facility responsible for distribution and shipping of EA products. Responsible for installation and support of all PC, wireless, telecommunication, and infrastructure requirements for the facility. This was a 12-month project. After completion, responsible for dismantling the facility. Managed several vendor contracts such as AT & T, Sprint, Lowry, Dell, and Cannon. Conducted annual staff evaluations and developed high performing staff. Project Manager for implementation of Metro Ethernet Network for connectivity between all Michigan sites. Manager for staff of 20 responsible for desktop and server support for over 3,000 users and 14 facilities across the United States. Process improvement coordinator responsible for working with business units to develop IT support structure and recommendations for service improvement. National project manager for centralized printing project. Henkel partnered with RICOH to establish centralized printing. Worked directly with business leaders including CIO, CFO, and Vice Presidents to determine printer usage and budget requirements. We were able to obtain a 10 to 1 printer ratio and eliminate 95 % of local printers across North America. Utilized Microsoft Project, Visio, and PowerPoint for tracking and providing visual aids and project presentations to Upper Management. Cost savings of approximately 500K per year for North America. Managed our break-fix vendor contract with T-Systems. Responsible for 1.5 million dollar IT Budget. Held annual merit and bonus reviews with staff and was responsible for amounts given. Coordinated peregrine help desk rollout across Central United States. Lead several key projects that included rolling out Active Directory, SAP, SAP CRM, Lotus Notes R6, and Windows XP to our Technologies and Adhesives business. This included overall management of the project teams, traveling to facilities across the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico to manage the end user testing and the go live rollout.
