Computer graphics has a very important role in the field of computer science. This is to an effective and rapid communication link that provides between the man and the machine. The human eye can absorb the information

content of a displayed diagram or perspective view much faster then it can scan of words or a table of contents.

In STARFIELD name itself indicates it contain number of stars and one special feature of this starfieldis, it generates an idle stars at the center of the screen.

Project Title : Image Editor Using Java

Year : 8th semester, 2010

Team Size : 4 members

Description:

Image Editor is an Application program, which can display, edit, analyze, process, save & print in 8-bit, 16-bit & 32-bit images. It can read many image formats including TIFF, GIF, JPEG, BMP, DICOM, FITS and “raw”. It supports “Stacks”, a series of images that share a single window.

The beauty of this application is, it’s multithreaded; utilizes the CPU and RAM effectively in such a way that the time consuming operation such as image file reading can be performed in parallel with other operations resulting enhanced performance. It will do geometric transformations such as scaling rotation & flips.

Image can be zoomed up to 32:1 and zoomed down to 1:32. All analysis & processing function will be available at any magnification factor.

Features included: Multiple image layers, Brushes, Blending Modes like add, screen and darken etc.

This application was very much appreciated.
