Exit Statement : As a result of the closing of the Eagle Point Refinery, 350 positions were eliminated, including mine. I now have the opportunity to explore new employment options.

● This position was an upgraded position between hourly and management with a 15% pay increase.
● Responsible for developing training manuals for all four duty stations in the operating department.
● Trained operations new hires and existing employees in all operating positions. Mentored 25 individuals to qualify on duty stations in a 3 to 5 year apprentice program.
● Prepared and coordinated all test questions with engineering and supervision for operator qualification tests.
● Drafted, reviewed, and finalized all general operating and emergency procedures with engineering and supervision.
● Was assigned day work lead position on numerous peak periods for shutdown and start-up of unit processes. Directed a group of 15 employees in all areas of work.
● Trained for Shift Supervisor position and back filled Area Superintendent day position.
● January 2005 As temporary Operations Training Coordinator, facilitated a new hire class of twenty four operations new hires. Received very high reviews on my performance as a first time instructor.
● Worked with Process Safety Management engineers on federally mandated HAZOP's ( Process Hazard Analysis ) and LOPA's ( Layers of Protection Analysis )
