ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
• K-Means Algorithm on Images and Bagging & AdaBoosting Spring 2012
The K-Means algorithm implemented included the implementation if the K-means clustering algorithm on 2 different images. Points were initialized randomly at the start and tests were performed several times to examine the impact to selection of initialization points on the final clusters formed.
For the Bagging & AdaBoosting part of several Weka datasets were used and the Weka meta functions of Bagging and AdaBoostM1 were used with three different classifiers to study the effect of Bagging and AdaBoosting on different datasets & classifiers and how Bagging and AdaBoosting affect the error rate of different datasets.
Technologies and Tools: Java, Eclipse IDE, JPEG Images, Weka and Weka Datasets
• Web Search Engine Spring 2011
The Web Search Engine’s development included the development of web crawlers, indexing module, page ranking module, retrieval module and the query processing module (i.e. crawl HTML pages up to several level, create an index for the words in the document, calculate the rank of the pages and perform query retrieval that retrieves pages with max weight) tailored for four domains in DMOZ.
Technologies and Tools: Apache Lucene, Java, JSP, Java Servlet, Apache Tomcat
• Texas Car Dealership Website Fall 2011
