Project & Role Description
The Home Depot is the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer and the second largest retailer in the United States. THD operated a total of 2079 retail stores in US, 143 stores in Canada, and 57 stores in Mexico. Special Services deals with ordering special order products at Home Depot stores. This application is widely used by store associates to order special/customized products for the Home Depot Customers. Few projects worked by me in special services includes
1. Ecatalog ordering: Fetching special order data to order special order products from catalog database maintained with latest products and catalogs from all vendors. This is to reduce the time spent by store associates over the systems and to help customers on the floor.
2. Provider Net: Application that can be accessed by the product or service providers/vendors to view, confirm and cancel the purchase orders. This application eliminates sending of purchase orders through manual or Auto fax. And the purchase orders are sent instantly through EDI.
3. Central Customer and Order Database: Maintaining a central database for all customer and order related information for all 2000+ stores
As a Technical Lead, my responsibilities include:
• Analyze Business Requirements to identify IT solutions (enhancements to existing solutions, or design of new ones) and migration strategies
• Look at requirements and solutions from an enterprise-wide point of view, i.e., across applications
• Work with Application Architects and others who understand the design of specific applications in detail
• Participate in the High Level Design (HLD) and Application Interface Design reviews to ensure applications implement the Solution Approach

Project & Role Description
The LibC CPE (Current Product Engineering) team at HP-ISO owns around 1000 Application program Interfaces (APIs). The Support includes fixing Hotsites, Critical and Severe Defects, Enhancement Requests for future changes in HP-UX C Library. As a system Analyst, the scope of role includes product production support, design, development and Testing.
My responsibilities were:
• Analyze and redesign of Existing C Library Functions
• Act as Release coordinator for all versions of HP-UX Releases (HP-UX 11.00, 11.11, 11.23 and 11.31 Versions)
• Work on Break Fixes and Enhancements
• Handle Hotsites. Hotsites are hot defects that have high impacts on customers of HP. These defects will be handled with high priority.
• Development and Enhancements of new C library Functions
• Address Customer filed critical and severe defects as part of production support

• Review of the System designs

Project & Role Description
The Objective of the project is to test the application programs interfaces (APIs) of HP-UX C library both on PA-RISC and IPF processor based releases. The C library will be released as General Release/Site Specific patches and Regression and Compatibility testing will be run across various releases.
