SKILL SETS:
Feature based Parametric Solid and Surface Modeling, Assembly Modeling and Manufacturing Drawings using CATIA V5
Experimental and Theoretical Aerodynamics
Gas dynamics and Propulsion
Performance of Aircraft
Flight test analysis of Aircraft
COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:
Operating System : Windows, NT, XP
Language : Fortran
Packages : MS Office
Technical Software : CATIA V5
Technical Projects Profile:
Project 1 : Designing of ALH Tools using CATIA V5
Organisation : HAL, Bangalore
Description : Plan, Design, Modeling and Drafting Master model, Composite and Metallic Layup tool. And Assembly tool, Trimming fixture, Machining fixture etc., Checking and release of tool design for manufacture
Project 2 : Variation of Climb Performance from the flight test data
Organisation : HAL, Bangalore
Description : Flight data was scanned to identify the steady climb segments in these flights. A math model was formulated and results from the math model are compared against flight test results, allowing for known parameter variations in flight. There is a good agreement between the two. The comparison of time to climb from math model and Flight data shows that the comparison is good.
Project 3 : Result of High Speed Wind Tunnel test with External Stores.
Organisation : HAL, Bangalore
Description : High speed wind tunnel tests were carried out to establish the symmetric effects of wing mounted and fuselage mounted external stores. The tests were carried out to provide variation of aerodynamics characteristic with angle of attack, sideslip and Mach number. Control effectiveness with stores was also evaluated.
Project 4 : Theoretical computation of Maneuvering Loads of Aircraft
Organisation : HAL, Bangalore
Description : Theoretical analysis of maneuvering Loads with Variation of Mach No., Load factor, angle of attack and sideslip angle for Aerospace Vehicle.
ACHIVEMENTS:
Qualified in GATE-1996 for under gone M.Tech studies at IIT, Kanpur through
Government of India Scholarship.
Professional AFFILIATION:
Life Member of the Aeronautical Society of India, Newdelhi
ACADEMIC projecTs:
Degree : M. Tech
Title : Studies on the effect 0f initial conditions on the mixing and noise characteristics of a supersonic free jet.
Institute : Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur
Description : The effect of nozzle divergence angle and nozzle length on the jet propagation and noise has been investigated experimentally. Free jets issuing from convergent-divergent axisymmetric nozzles at Mach 2 have been studied. Jets from 4 nozzles of different divergent angle have been investigated. One nozzle with q =3o, length 14.30 mm and exit diameter 6.50 mm was kept as the basic no0zzle. In addition to these geometrical parameters, the stagnation pressure was also varied from 3 atm to 6 atm. The jet decay was analyzed by measuring the centerline Pitot pressure. The pressure profiles across the jet at different axial locations were also measured. The shock cell length in the jet core was measured directly. The shock pattern in the core was visualized with shadowgraph technique.
The jet noise was measured at two orientations by measuring the overall sound pressure level. The noise directly at the nozzle exit was also measured.
