CAREER HISTORY

Branch Controller, Overland Mortgage, 2003 to 2010. Held complete P&L responsibility while directing operations for this $100M company. Managed 12 branch employees with dotted line responsibility for six in processing, underwriting, and loan packaging. Managed loan origination, analyzed complex financials and facilitated closing documents and HUD1 reviews. Due to successful risk management, never had default.

Sr. VP - Operations, Prudential Texas Properties, 2000 to 2003. Served as VP for financing in Southwest Region for this $300M real estate company. Directed 345 agents through 12 direct reports while managing P&L, budget, underwriting, processing, originators, facilitators, file preparation/packaging, document drawing and personnel functions for eight branches. Ensured customer satisfaction and usage of in-house lending. Reported directly to financial partner, Sterling Bank. Managed a team staff of 24 - 12 being remote in Houston.

 Started up mortgage department to service in-house lending for five Texas Prudential franchises. Liaison between real estate management company and bankers. Marketed online and with eight newly hired staff. Maneuvered company to net profit of $300K from zero.

Mortgage Broker, Connors Mortgage Co, 1993 to 2000. Started up mortgage company, closing over $150M deals. Known for outstanding performance and attention to detail.

Director of Credit, Arco Natural Gas, 1982 to 1993. Recruited to design, develop, and implement automated system to control risk and enhance sales while minimizing bad debt loss for this $500B oil& gas co. Managed $18M budget and 15 employees. Negotiated credit terms to secure payment, enhanced cash flow by $2 to $3M annually. Also served as Credit Analyst, Account Payable Manager and Sr. Supervisor A/R.

 Credited with saving $20M for Arco. Charged with eliminating all audit issues, enhancing systems, and preventing asset loss/waste. Reduced remaining A/R to $250K, collecting $8M. Established credit limits and risk management levels. Resolved all audit concerns. Heightened company awareness of value of credit.

 Collected 96% of outstanding receivables for Arco. Joint Interest Owners were not paying bills causing cash flow and A/R problems. Assigned to $10M joint interest accounts involving mid tier companies. Devised action plan and collaborated with external companies. Collected $9.6M within three months.

 Developed custom IS software, turning around audit issues and adding to increased profits. Arco Natural Gas Marketing Inc. was on notice to solve severe audit issues. Developed plan to eliminate audit exceptions. Determined acceptable risk on $1.2B annual portfolio and developed IS software to limit risk/exposure. Sold software to smaller companies increasing revenue 5% in declining natural gas market.

Earlier: Gas Accounting - Acquisition Merger Team, Mobil Oil. Led 3-member team to integrate $800M acquisition. Completed three months ahead of schedule and under budget. Also in Gas Plant Accounting & Leases.
