American Kennel Club, Raleigh, North Carolina June 2008 – April 2010

Senior level UNIX administrator/NetApp filer administrator and network infrastructure administrator Senior Network Engineer Installed, patched, upgraded and maintained Solaris, RedHat Enterprise Class and Network Appliance servers (from un-boxing to configuring network resources to application load). Worked with DBAs and development teams in adding/configuring software packages. Assisted help desk group to quickly resolve user issues with mail, access to NAS storage and general OSX knowledge. Dealt with backing up and restoring resources with Veritas NetBackup and inherent NetApp restoration procedures. Added, removed, modified servers to Cisco routers and/or load balancers as called for. Accomplishments:

• Suggested NetApp filer solution for NY remote office. Designed, built and maintained remote filer in mixed environment.

Network Appliance, Durham, North Carolina January 2003 – June 2008 Infrastructure design and implementation for customer related test systems. NGS Lab System Administrator/Manager Designed, implemented heterogeneous environments including Sun Solaris, RedHat/SUSE Linux, HPUX and AIX along with various Cisco and McData copper and fiber switches (approx. 400 servers along with networking infrastructure). Assisted in testing customer installations as they related to Network Appliance storage systems. • While focusing on Network Appliance storage systems, designed and implemented other host systems like Sun Solaris (6 – 10), HPUX, IBM AIX, various flavors of Linux and Windows servers along with various applications for each platform.
