American Kennel Club, Raleigh, North Carolina June 2008 – April 2010

Senior level UNIX administrator/NetApp filer administrator and network infrastructure administrator Senior Network Engineer Installed, patched, upgraded and maintained Solaris, RedHat Enterprise Class and Network Appliance servers (from un-boxing to configuring network resources to application load). Worked with DBAs and development teams in adding/configuring software packages. Assisted help desk group to quickly resolve user issues with mail, access to NAS storage and general OSX knowledge. Dealt with backing up and restoring resources with Veritas NetBackup and inherent NetApp restoration procedures. Added, removed, modified servers to Cisco routers and/or load balancers as called for. • Suggested NetApp filer solution for NY remote office. Designed, built and maintained remote filer in mixed environment.
