Dry-docks world Dubai is one of the largest shipyards in Middle East Asia doing shiprepair, conversion and new shipbuilding activities from last 25 years.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure implementation of Quality control plans and procedures.

2. Ensure that the requirements for all weld, welder and welding activities are correctly specified and carry out in accordance with relevant codes, client inspections and contract standard.

3. Read and understand technical drawings and communicate with the design department for clarifications or modifications if needed.

4. Incharge of hull conversion and ship repair works onboard the vessels and in hull shops.

5. Fit up inspection, welding inspection before, during and after welding as per approved structural drawing.

6. Inspect pipe/plate for marking, cutting, and fitting, block erection, back gauging and grinding inspection.

7. Incoming materials verification to client specification and contract standards (mill cert., heat number, mechanical properties and chemical composition)

8. Ensure approved WPS as qualified welders are available.

9. Liaison and dealing with third party organization (client/class/superintendent)

10. Co-Ordination with client Inspector for daily welding activities and for stage inspection.

11. Ensure that the workers are correctly carrying out the work procedures interpreting specifications and coordinating various phases of the repair process to prevent delays.

12. Performing Weld assessment, Near miss and Quality observation on site and onboard.

13. Interacting with yard personnel to solve at site and onboard problems.

14. Ensure that the work under progress conforms to safety standards.

15. Performing Hull (TANK)/Pipe Inspections and testing activities such as Air pressure testing tanks and oxygen, acetylene manifold system testing, hose testing, chalk testing, and vacuum box testing

16. Preparing in process, Inspection Request Reports and Documentation as per ISO 9001: 2008.

17. Check Plate and Weld traceability.

18. Performing PT and MPI (NDT) inspections on site and onboard.

19. Review of Radiographic film interpretation.

20. Preparing NDT reports and Documentations as per ISO 9001: 2008

21. Monitoring blasting and painting, surface preparation activities as per given in paint specification by client.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Dry survey inspection and getting approved by the class (BV) and client.

2. Prefabrication and dry survey of blocks, outfitting structures and accommodation blocks.

3. Review Approved Structural drawing for inspection on fabricated materials.

4. Lead a team of foremen and workers to perform hull structures, fabrication, installation, errection welding and quality control activities.

5. Monitoring blasting painting and surface preparation activities as per given in paint specification.

6. Implementing ceramic welding on various blocks.

7. Material Inspection, plate, welds traceability and ensures approved WPS as qualified welders are available.

8. Erection and alignment of blocks.

9. Supervision of all NDT inspection and radiographic film interpretation.

10. Hull Outfitting Activities Inspection and getting approved by the class/client.

11. Monitoring/checking life saving and fire fighting appliances onboard during sea trial.

2. SAFTEY COURCES: Personal survival techniques and basic fire fighting held in DRY DOCKS WORLD Dubai.
