ACADEMIC Capstone: Modeled and Fully Assembled Heat Pump Outdoor Fall 2023 - Spring 2024
PROJECTS Unit to Implement Alternative Defrost System
Implemented a new defrost system for low ambient conditions for outdoor heat exchangers with implementation on heating capacity improvement. Used EVAP-CONDS to design circuits on the heat exchanger. Modeled the piping system in the CAD software Inventor. Braised and pressure-tested pipes to eliminate leaks. Soldered wires for the fan, compressor, solenoid valves, temperature, and pressure sensors. Saved cost in electric resistive heating. Tested the unit in chambers via standards for heating, cooling, and defrost.
WORK First Company – Engineering Test Intern May 2024 - Current
EXPERIENCE Managed laboratory inventory and operations using Labsys and Engineering Lab Manager, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient resource allocation. Developed custom Virtual Instruments (VIs) in LabVIEW to support data acquisition-based projects, improving automation and system performance. I consistently met project deadlines by completing Technical Data Packages (TDPs) on time, contributing to the overall success of engineering initiatives.
First Company – Junior Test Engineer January 2025 - Current
Created an Airflow database with graphs and equations for the majority of First Co’s units (Torque, SCFM, WATTS, and RPM). Programmed a wide range of different ECM motors (different brands, sizes, etc) for verification and for the airflow performance graphs. Developed VIs to get real time data and data acquisition in excel sheets with a process time of less than one second at multiple stations. Tested different motor and created test plans for each.
