networking, containerization fundamentals, and CI/CD automation concepts.
PROJECT & CLOUD EXPERIENCE
Highly Available Web Application Architecture on AWS (Multi-AZ VPC Design)
• Designed and deployed a fault-tolerant, multi-AZ AWS architecture spanning two Availability Zones (ap-south-1a, ap-
south-1b) to ensure high availability and disaster recovery for a web application.
• Configured a custom VPC with public and private subnets across two Availability Zones, isolating web, application, and
database tiers for security and scalability.
• Set up an Application Load Balancer (ALB) with SSL/TLS termination to securely distribute incoming traffic across web
servers in both AZs.
• Implemented an Auto Scaling Group (ASG) to dynamically scale EC2 web server instances based on demand, ensuring
consistent performance and cost efficiency.
• Deployed a Jump Server (bastion host) in the public subnet to enable secure SSH access to private instances,
minimizing direct exposure of application servers.
• Configured a NAT Gateway to allow outbound internet access for resources in private subnets while blocking
unsolicited inbound traffic.
• Configured Route 53 for DNS management and domain routing, and integrated CloudFront as a CDN for faster
content delivery and caching.
• Used Amazon EFS for shared, persistent file storage accessible across web servers in multiple AZs.
• Set up a Multi-AZ database layer (MySQL) with primary and standby/replica instances for high availability and
automatic failover.
• Integrated Amazon S3 for object storage, used for storing and serving application assets.
• Applied security best practices including subnet-level isolation, security groups, and least-privilege access across
public/private tiers.
End-to-End CI/CD Pipeline Automation using Jenkins, Docker & Kubernetes
• Designed and implemented an end-to-end CI/CD pipeline integrating GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Docker, and
Kubernetes to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Configured a 5-stage Jenkins pipeline (Clone Repo Maven Build Code Review Nexus Upload Deploy)
triggered automatically on code commits from the GitHub repository.
• Automated artifact packaging with Maven and versioned artifact storage using Nexus Repository Manager, reducing
manual build effort.
• Containerized the application using Docker and orchestrated deployment on Kubernetes, enabling scalable and
consistent releases across environments.
• Streamlined the release cycle by automating the full pipeline from code commit to deployment, minimizing manual
intervention.
