ENGINEERING PROJECTS
Glove Tremor & Grip Monitoring System for Parkinson’s Disease 2026 - Present
- Built a portable multi-sensor biomedical system using piezoelectric, FSR, pulse, and thermistor sensors with Arduino to quantify tremor, grip strength, heart rate, and temperature for at-home monitoring.
- Developed embedded signal-processing algorithms to convert raw analog data into real-time tremor, grip, and heart-rate metrics, incorporating peak detection and noise reduction.
- Debugged hardware and software through sensor replacement, calibration, and threshold tuning; delivered a functional prototype with LCD display and serial data logging. Firefighter Vital Signal Reader Research Project 2025-2026
- Designed a wearable system to monitor heart rate, oxygen, and body temperature in high-heat conditions.
- Evaluated sensor configurations and circuit designs to improve signal stability and durability under extreme conditions.
- Collaborated with a 6-person team to conduct testing, validate data accuracy, and refine system performance.
Anthropometric Adaptive Prosthetic Socket 2024-2025
- Investigated prosthetic socket design approaches aimed at improving fit and addressing factors associated with phantom limb pain.
- Collected and analyzed anthropometric body measurements to inform socket dimensions and user-specific design considerations.
- Applied principles of human anatomy and biomedical design to develop an adaptive socket concept tailored to individual anatomical variation.
Portable Reaction Time Tester 2024
- Built a handheld device to measure reflex time for athlete and home safety assessments following impact or fatigue.
- Reduced response measurement error by optimizing circuitry and calibration for portable use.
- Applied microcontroller programming to record and display reaction-time data. EXPERIENCE
SHERQ Intern, NETIS-Reime Rwanda Summer 2024
- Conducted safety audits and risk assessments across electrical operations, identifying compliance gaps and presenting findings to management.
- Delivered PPE and HSE training to 50+ employees, improving workplace safety practices and updated safety policies.
Embedded Tutor & Review Leader, Wentworth Institute of Technology 2025 - Present
- Created and delivered group review sessions and one-on-one instruction in Calculus I & II, Physics I, and Foundations of Calculus in collaboration with faculty. Community Advisor, Wentworth Institute of Technology 2025 - Present
- Mentor 40+ residents and organize 8+ programs per semester supporting community, belonging, and academic success.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Johnson & Johnson Robotics & Controls Engineering Virtual Experience, Forage July 2026
- Analyzed control-system inefficiencies in a simulated surgical robotic arm using Python-based tools, identifying sources of latency and performance limitations.
- Proposed design improvements addressing responsiveness, precision, and durability, supported by technical analysis and visualizations.
