Working for Hormel Foods the responsibilities as a machine operator was to make sure the lids are placed on every can that comes on the conveyor belt, handle any can jams that interfere with the line if the line stops and troubleshoot if needed and practice lock out and tag out if there’s an issue with the line. I had to keep a log of any over and under weight products daily, change code dates as needed during the shift. Keep a certain speed going on the line, and keep my eyes on any foreign materials during the shift and report it immediately to the supervisor on duty. Keep work area clean during the shift. Wear proper PPE at all times during the shift.
