Hydrogeologist, geological engineer, and founder of a Peruvian engineering consulting firm, with 30+ years of experience in groundwater exploration, well field design, managed aquifer recharge (MAR), and slope stability. M.S. in Natural Resources
& Watershed Management from the University of Arizona. Led projects for The Nature Conservancy (with PepsiCo as a partner), Backus (AB InBev), municipal water utilities, and government agencies, from field investigation and drilling oversight through permitting and final technical reports. Bilingual English/Spanish, ready to lead Spanish-speaking field crews.
CORE SKILLS
• Groundwater: Aquifer characterization, pumping and slug test analysis, well field design and modeling, monitoring-well
(piezometer) networks, water availability and water balance studies.
• Managed Aquifer Recharge: Design of infiltration trenches, recharge channels, and filtration galleries (horizontal collector systems in fractured rock).
• Geotechnical & Geologic Hazards: Slope stability, landslide and rockfall hazard assessment, rock mass and soil characterization, seismic risk, dam foundation evaluation.
• Geophysical prospecting: Specialized experience in subsurface exploration methods to identify, map and delineate fractured aquifers, unconsolidated aquifers and various geological formations.
• Software: FEFLOW, AQTESOLV, IP2WIN (resistivity), ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, AGWA/SWAT, AutoCAD, MS Project.
• Project Delivery: Founded and has been a consulting firm since 2010: business development, staffing, budgets, drilling and construction oversight, technical reports and permit packages, client and community coordination. EDUCATION

Founder, Managing Director & Principal Hydrogeologist (engineering consulting firm; projects in 14 regions of Peru)
• The Nature Conservancy (2022–2024): Designed riverbank infiltration trenches and a piezometer monitoring network for the Motupe River aquifer; prepared the aquifer diagnosis and sustainability plan.
• TNC, amuna restoration: Led the mapping and redesign of traditional Andean recharge channels (amunas) as managed aquifer recharge systems; restored four systems in high-altitude watersheds with PepsiCo and corporate partners.
• Backus / AB InBev (2022–2023): Prepared design documents for, and oversaw construction of, two infiltration trenches recharging the upper Motupe aquifer.
• SEDA Cusco, municipal water utility (2016–2026): Prepared design and permitting documents for four production wells in the Piñipampa aquifer (water supply expansion for six districts); modeled pumping well fields and obtained water- availability approvals for the Cusco Drinking Water Master Plan; completed aquifer protection and infiltration gallery studies.
• Inland Energy (2026): Led landslide and slope stability risk assessment for the Santa Teresa hydroelectric plant camp.
• NGO and government clients: Water availability studies and baseline environmental modeling for micro-watersheds
(CEDEP Ayllu, 2025–2026); hydrologic studies for watershed restoration investment projects (SERFOR, 2019).
• Plan MERISS, regional irrigation agency: Groundwater studies in fractured-rock aquifers (2015); geological, hydrogeological, and geophysical evaluation and seepage control for the Pitucocha and Yanamancha dams (2012–2013). Earlier Consulting Projects — Cusco, Peru 1991 – 2010 Lead Geologist / Hydrogeologist (projects with Guaman Poma de Ayala Center and others)
• Lead geologist for design and construction oversight of the Oropesa and Saylla filtration galleries (1997–2000); field geologist on construction of the Salkantay infiltration gallery (1991).
• Estimated the volume of the southern Cusco Valley aquifers; designed groundwater intakes and drinking water systems for rural communities (1999–2008).
• Prepared the project profile for integrated water resources management in the Huatanay Valley, Cusco (2003). CIA. Inversiones Mineras del Sur — Arequipa, Peru 1996 Assistant Chief Geologist, Caravelí mining unit: field mapping, structural geology, resource assessment TEACHING
