Working in Risk Analysis and Management system as a backend oracle database developer, This system supports trading, pricing-trade capture-position management-P&L-reporting operations, finance and risk management for Americas, Europe and Asi Pacific regions. It has 50+pricing models based on Black Scholes and Monte Carlo simulation alogorithms. Supports all types of instruments such as listed and OTC options, bonds, swaps, stocks, cash, baskets, structured products etc. CPRT tool is used for risk calculation on EOD positions.

It has 10 production databases, 11 disaster recovery databases and 15 non-production.

Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, and triggers for risk calculation and pricing models (Black-Scholes, Monte Carlo simulations).

Database Developer

This project is about Wholesale Credit Risk and Legal Entity Risk Reporting. The base data is retrieved from CreditMart(s) and adjustments are applied over this data to generate EOD and EOM Risk data. The data is then supplied to SSRS, BO and Dremier reporting systems for reporting purposes catering to markets all over the world.

At the start of a month, a base version of data is created. Then whenever required, adjustments are applied to the base data to calculate risk associated. At the end of a month, FINAL/Released Official version is created and is made available for reporting.

This is a backend database migration project of migrating CreditMart Reporting system from Sybase IQ to Oracle.It involves migration of data, processes, validations of data migrated and processed in oracle, supporting BO/SSRS and other reporting platforms and performance improvement when necessary.

Daily batch processing of over 1TB data in the system using autosys, control panel and SEL scheduling systems.

Backend database activities include setting up of development, UAT and production databases, with schemas, tables, views, materialized view etc. Development and testing of stored packages, procedures and triggers. Permormance monitoring and taking prompt actions during data processing., Deployment of code to UAT and Production environment using CI/CD and Bitbucket repository.

SQL queries performance tuning using Exadata features like smart scan, storage indexes, hybrid columnar compression, partitioning and parallel query execution.

This project is about managing entitlements for roles, users, and service accounts in various environments as per compliance policies and procedures.

BOA has 5000+ oracle/SQL server/MySQL/Sybase databases for various applications along with their own service and user and DBA accounts. Everyday users, roles, entitlement, and database objects information is collected from all these databases. This information is then checked against compliance policies, procedures, and rules. The accounts that are not compliant are flagged out to respective DBA teams for further adjustments.

The second phase of this project is Straight Thru Processing of flagged accounts.

Worked within a 3-member database team for updating/creating new database packages and Unix/Linux scripts, Use autoSys jobs for processing of all different types of database entitlement information through existing channels.

Database Developer

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) manages flow of electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers, representing 90 percent of the state’s electricity load. As an independent system operator for the region, ERCOT schedules power on an electric grid that connects more than 46,500 miles of transmission lines and 680+ generation units. It also performs financial settlement for the competitive wholesale bulk-power market and administers retail switching for 8 million premises in competitive choice areas.

The systems performs forecasting of Day-Ahead market and Real-Time market for electricity demand and accordingly instruct Generating units, Transmission and Sub-station units to generate and distribute power to consumers. This is done in batch processing for every 15 minutes of interval for power generation/transmission/usage. Also, settlement of cost at generation and transmission units as well as revenue at consumption units is performed at every 15 minutes interval keeping revenue neutrality to give best price to the consumers.

Application Manager (AppWorx) Software is used to automate enterprise scheduling, integrating applications, and accelerating business processes.

Worked on updating of Database tables/views/indexes/materialized views/schema-based processing of Stored packages, procedures, functions, triggers, schedular jobs.

Analyzing requirements and generating LLD instructions for database changes.
