THESIS & RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Thesis Title: Design and Performance Analysis of a Hybrid CMOS–Memristor-Based 8-Bit Synchronous and Asynchronous Up/Down Counter

Supervisor: Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, Green University of Bangladesh. Description: This thesis explores a hybrid CMOS–memristor design for 8-bit synchronous and asynchronous up/down counters. By combining conventional CMOS logic with non-volatile memristors, the work focuses on reducing power consumption, saving chip area, and improving overall performance. Simulation results show better energy efficiency and scalability compared to traditional designs, highlighting the potential of memristor-based circuits for future low-power and neuromorphic systems. A motivated Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduate with a versatile background in technical problem-solving, business operations, customer service, data management, and team coordination. Experienced in working with Cadence Virtuoso, Proteus, and MATLAB, along with practical exposure gained through industrial training and professional experience. My experience has strengthened my analytical thinking, communication, teamwork, adaptability, customer handling, and organizational skills. I am comfortable working in dynamic environments, managing responsibilities efficiently, and collaborating with teams to achieve organizational objectives. INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

Industrial Training: BPDB, Ghorashal Training Center, Duration: 7 Days Completed a 7-day industrial training program focused on power generation systems, electrical equipment operation, plant safety procedures, maintenance practices, and practical exposure to industrial power plant operations under BPDB professionals.

PROJECTS

1. Manual Changeover Generator-Battery Power System Designed a relay–transistor-based hybrid power system for uninterrupted load supply, enabling automatic switching between generator and battery. The islanded setup improves efficiency and reliability, suitable for microgrids, backup power, and rural electrification. 2. Logic Gate Design (NOT, AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XOR, XNOR) In this work, I designed fundamental logic gates (NOT, AND, OR) using Cadence Virtuoso and then extended them to implement universal (NAND, NOR) and exclusive (XOR, XNOR) gates. Each circuit was first verified through schematic-level simulations, followed by full layout implementation. Design Rule Check and Layout Versus Schematic validation were performed to ensure correctness and reliability. Finally, post-layout parasitic extraction was carried out to analyze interconnect effects and evaluate the overall performance of the designs.
